Atomic

Atomic ( http://nightgem.come.to/windows.htm ). This game is somewhat ugly. The truly 16-color graphics are so plain that it sticks like a sore thumb. Nevertheless the idea of the game outweighs the appearance.

The goal is to recreate a molecule by moving its atoms scattered about a small labyrinth. Atoms can be freely moved in 4 directions. But the point is they can only be stopped by running into a wall or another atom. You can build the molecule everywhere you want to, there’s no particular place for it.

This mind-breaker is quite a challenge. I got already stuck in the 2nd level for 15 minutes. The option to save a game is not avaliable, you will be given a password every 6th level instead. Two passwords I gained so far are: callisto, deimos.

Atomic is a game not for everyone but if you’re a smartass just like me you’ll definitely enjoy it.

It’s hard to imagine someone charging money for such an ugly game. That’s why Atomic is free.

The final judgment for the game is 3 eyes award. I would like to thank the author for maintenance of KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle and original game concept I haven’t seen before. But if you’re a kind of person who prefer action or arcade you wouldn’t like it so don’t even try.
