Troll

Today the spotlight is on Troll.

Troll is created by Rake in Grass, a game team from Czech Republic. Main features of Troll are quite original graphics and some nasty stuff.

You’re playing a stout Troll warrior (at the bottom of the screen) helping good guys to destroy bad guys’ castles. Awful dragon in the sky spits destructive fireballs to burn down the village behind you. You must return fireballs back by reflecting them with your weapon or shield; the fireballs you return wreck walls of the castle. That’s right, same old Arkanoid concept, greatly revised.

Time after time hideous monsters leave castle gates and approach you. Smash them with your weapon before they reach and harm the village.

To win you have to burn down the castle before enemies demolish your village. When the level is completed you get on the map screen where you can choose the next target to conquer. Every castle has its own appearance and various monsters. And some of them are really nasty:

Besides graphics the game has some other dirty stuff. For example, when you pick up a can of beans you gain powerful and highly destructive fart magic.

Free demo with 3 scenarios (of total 6) is available from Troll homepage. To gain full version you’ll have to pay $14.

I gave Troll 4 eyes award. If you like weird & funny stuff you will enjoy game graphics. The game has its own atmosphere, so it’s worth seeing. The demo includes half of levels full version has, so take your time to decide to buy or not to buy.
