Rox
Rox is a freeware remake of classic action/puzzle games Boulder Dash and Supaplex.You control thresher, an earth-digging creature. The aim is to collect all the «units» at the level and to proceed to the exit point.
Your primary enemy is the force of gravity: every object (such as stone, unit or bomb) falls down if where is an empty space under it; round objects roll off each other if not blocked to the sides. If the stone fall down on thresher, it will cause a deadly detonation. Units (as well as the thresher) might be destroyed or buried by the falling stones, so watch out.
Besides the stones and units there are many other stuff in the game, for example bomb that blows up upon impact, enemies (spiders and flies), one-way doors and so on.
Rox is a combination of logic and arcade components. Think twice, run fast and you will succeed. Some levels are really hard so solve. But if you went through all of them, you may download addition level packs from Rox homepage. You may even create your own levels using Rox level editor.
I gave Rox 4 eyes award. Graphics are fine, but seem a bit dark to me and I don’t like dynamic lights there. Anyway the game is very well done to be freeware (but it is), so it’s definitely worth seeing.
