Tetris
Today I’ve got something special, a unique game with extremely addictive gameplay. You control blocks of different shape falling one by one in some kind of glass. The aim is to build as much horizontal lines of blocks as you can. Every complete line you made disappears making free space for the next blocks.The game is nice yet a little bit outdated (1986). I gave it 3 eyes award only. The idea is quite original, but graphics are poor (actually, there are no graphics at all) and controls are inconvenient. Fortunately, the game size is quite small (25 kb) so you may try it easily.
Oh, OK, OK. You’ve got an idea. That’s a joke. I was talking about Tetris. The original Tetris itself.
World-famous game Tetris was created by Russian computer engineer Alexey Pazhitnov at the Moscow Academy of Science’s Computer Center in 1985. Tetris were also known as «stakan» (a glass) in Russia in the eighties. In spite of worldwide popularity of the game, the author made nearly no money from Tetris because of cold war, iron curtain (In 1985 Russia still was «the empire of evil») and some dishonest people.
